My professor said I could checkout the textbook from the library. How do I do this?

Usually, textbooks and other course materials are called reserves. These materials are kept on reserve behind the Circulation desk.

Answer

The Library may be able to provide you with access to reserve textbooks for assigned readings. Please visit the library and go to the reference desk for more assistance.

You can also use the library website to look up a reserve. You may search by Instructor Name, Course Number or Course Name. Once you find the reserve you need, write down the Call Number and go to the reserves desk to obtain your reserve.

Additional Info:
Instructors will sometimes add textbooks or other course materials on reserve. You may check out reserve materials for 2 hours to use in the library. These materials may not leave the library building. You can request a reserve at the reserve desk. You will need to provide them with a call number of the reserve and your current student id.
